"in memoriam", Arnie Warren
It is with a heavy heart I tell you that my friend of over 35 years, Arnie Warren, has passed away on Friday April 18, 2008. Mr. Warren is a fellow Broadcaster and in the 1970's had the highest ratings in Miami/Fort Lauderdale. His morning show on WGBS-AM, Miami, was #1 for years. And his alter ego "Amos Rutledge" was right there with him. Arnie was a familiar face on South Florida Television in the '60's thru the '90's. He was the long running national spokesman for Ethan Allen Furniture Galleries. Later, on camera nationally for Levitz Furniture and many retailers from automobile dealers to music stores. Today Arnie is known worldwide for his books on human interactions in business. He had, I believe 6 books published around the world and was working on a novel at the time of his death. As an expert and compelling speaker, Arnie has travelled the world making appearances and lecturing. He leaves behind a wife and two children. The photo above is the last one I ever shot of Arnie, on Feb 16, 2006. For more information on what Arnie was up to lately goto: http://www.greatconnection.com/index.html Arnie Warren was a true gentlemen and I will miss him dearly. - Pat Appleson April, 2008
